Instead I'd like to share a few great things you might not have heard about yet.
With the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks coming on Sunday, the Washington Post asked a number of religious leaders to write about faith and 9/11. Our own prophet, President Thomas S. Monson was one of them! His post 9/11 Destruction Allowed Us to Spiritually Rebuild discusses God's unwavering commitment to us, "We sometimes neglect God. Sometimes we fail to keep the commandments that He gives us to make us happy. Sometimes we fail to commune with Him in prayer. Sometimes we forget to succor the poor and the downtrodden who are also His children. And our forgetfulness is very much to our detriment.
If there is a spiritual lesson to be learned from our experience of that fateful day, it may be that we owe to God the same faithfulness that He gives to us."
There is another anniversary this month. September 23rd marks the 16th anniversary of The Family: A Proclamation to the world. Won't you come CELEBRATE THE FAMILY with us? For the next two weeks I am teaming up with three other bloggers to host a celebration of The Family: A Proclamation to the World. Visit Chocolate on my Cranium, The Red Headed Hostess, We Talk of Christ, and Welcome to the Madness every day until Sept. 23rd to read posts discussing all aspects of the proclamation. We have guest bloggers, giveaways, and blog hops for YOU to link your proclamation posts. We know you also feel strongly about your families and have things to say too. Here's the schedule so you can start thinking about your posts:
